What is living the spiritual life?
Living the spiritual life is something that is natural and normal unlike the worldly opinions some people may have about being spiritual. It is always natural and it is always normal, unlike other things that we come across in our day-to-day activities. The spiritual life is normal and natural precisely because it knows its source and your are born with it. Its Source is the infinite Light and the eternal Truth that governs all universal laws.
Spirituality is born in a person and develops in the person. It may be kick started by a religion, or it may be kick started by a revelation.
Spirituality extends to all facets of a person’s life.
Spirituality is chosen while religion is often times forced. Being spiritual to me is more important and better than being religious.
True spirituality is something that is found deep within oneself. It is your way of loving, accepting and relating to the world and people around you. It cannot be found in a church or by believing in a certain way. We need to consider the following in favor of the spiritual path an example will be that there is not one religion, but hundreds of them and in turn there is only one type of spirituality.
Religion is for those who want to continue rituals and the formality and spirituality is for those who want to reach the spiritual ascent without dogmas, rituals and rules.
Spirituality is not religion. It’s not the same thing that your parents or the guy in the suit knocking on your front door is pedaling. Spirituality arises from somewhere deep inside you. It is a belief that you harbor for no apparent reason.
You believe there is more to life, you have felt it affirmed a hundred times and perhaps through intuitions proven correct, amazing coincidences, a feeling the connection to oneness. Tap into this inner belief and hold it close. It may not be visible, but I believe it is very real.
Take time out to connect to your Soul. Follow your intuition, wherever it may take you. If you are not sure what your intuition feels like, then pay attention to your gut instinct, that initial feeling or thought that comes over you when you meet a new person, or are offered something new.
Try not to override that instinct. Think of all the times when you have said ‘I wish I’d listened to my self’. Trust that intuition and see where it takes you.
Take time out to explore the natural world. City dwellers visit the park or simply look up to the sky. Shamanistic people believe that all things have a spirit. In my life I have been granted signs and signals from nature, and I have enjoyed its restorative power.
We are, after all, organic, living material, yet we close ourselves off with machines, bricks and walls. Get out into the open and feel the natural peace of nature. Notice the clarity that nature can bring to your frazzled and busy mind.
There are no mistakes. Stop beating yourself up about something you did, said or thought. Spiritual Living is not about being perfect. We are not here to float off into the divine ether quite yet. We are here to be human, we are here to mess up, and sometimes we mess up quite magnificently. We break hearts, we hurt people, we hurt ourselves.
As long as we choose to learn from those mistakes and not to repeat them then we are living spiritually. Go easy on your self. You are a spiritual being in a human body for a reason. Allow yourself that human weakness, and choose to learn from it.
Life still goes on with all the hardships and all. We all know that life is full of destruction, pain and chaos, and yet when it happens to us we balk at the unfairness of it all. Being spiritual means taking a step back, trying to see how are hardships are in fact great educators.
Think back to your last set of difficulties and consider how these have changed you as a person, for the better. Life is damned hard, but if we go with the flow of that hardship we stop fighting (resisting) and we start going with the flow. Try to remember that all things happen for reason, even the really awful things, somehow it all balance out.
Spirituality is about trusting in the path of your life, and while sometimes that path seems very hard, or people are put there to cross you, it’s your job to think positively, and when relevant to release any negativity or foul thoughts you may have. Cleansing your mind and really taking control of your thoughts is a sure fire way to connect with your higher self and your intuition. When you do this, life becomes a little easier.
Spiritual Living is about getting back in contact with our souls and then the souls of others, to whom we are intimately connected. Offer out love and watch as the world becomes a little bit sweeter.
I want to inspire everyone to live a happier and more conscious life. It’s time for us all to awaken and take responsibility for everything happening on this planet and around us. It’s time for us to understand we are all creators, co-creating this world we live in.
The real Guru is not in the vast blue skies or a spiritual master somewhere but rather he is inside the very depth of our heart. You may ask, “If He is inside our heart, then why is it necessary for us to take help from somebody else to find Him?” Although this invaluable treasure is inside our heart, we cannot see it or feel it, so we need help. I had many personal teacher, who I call my spiritual teacher, they comes to us and teaches us how to find our own treasure.
In Spiritual Life Coaching we help you find that treasure within, you the client sets the agenda, identifies the vision, and creates the solutions. Clients draw on their own creativity and resources, including their relationship with the higher power and source. As coach, I help clients to clear away the obstacles and fears inhibiting their life and to keep on track with their vision so that they can realize their dreams and fulfill their purpose in life.
Prayer, meditation and spiritual counsel are important dimensions of the coaching or consulting relationship in keeping with the client’s desires.
In the context of a trusted relationship, clients are inspired, taught and encouraged to do the following, usually over a three to six month period of time:
Clarify their own values and priorities
Develop a highly motivating vision for key aspects of their life
Set attainable goals to pursue their vision
Create strategies to deal with persistent obstacles that distract or bog them down
Increase and focus their energy
Find adequate support and accountability to persevere in pursuing their vision
Develop greater skills and experience in Spirit-led living and leading
We begin with an discovery and design session to help clients assess their level of satisfaction in major areas of their life: career, spouse/significant other, family, spirituality, finances, health, friends, fun/recreation, and personal growth. From there, clients choose to focus on their highest priorities, and the work of pursuing their vision for their life.
Now it is the time for us to all say: I deserve to be happy; I deserve to live with and around love; I deserve to be healthy; I deserve to have freedom; I deserve to be continuously inspired; and I deserve peace of mind. It’s never too late to start creating this life you deserve. If you haven’t already started, I hope you start creating it today by living the spiritual life.
You are a spiritual being living in a human experience as part of this physical dimension, it is time to live who you are.
